No one ever thought they would see the Old Grade School building on eBay. But, in Summer 2013 it appeared there. Shortly thereafter, a community meeting was held to brainstorm ideas on what could be done to save the school. From this meeting, the Frankfort Development Trust blossomed.
The Frankfort Development Trust is a 501c-3 entity. It consists of a board of directors with twelve people ranging from young-adult to retirement ages. All members are deeply involved in the community in many different aspects and recognize the value of saving historical buildings in Frankfort.
